    At Classic Kitchens & Interiors, we believe in the importance of environmental stewardship and are pleased to work with cabinet lines that also maintain a commitment to producing high quality cabinetry that shows care for the environment. As Wood-Mode writes, “Protecting the environment is not a new idea for Wood-Mode.” They have focused on this since their founding and have been certified by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) as meeting the standards for its Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP). Manufacturers who use environmentally-friendly materials and production processes are recognized through this program. Qualification for and maintenance of this certification comes through an annual evaluation and compliance in air quality, product resource management, process resource management, environmental stewardship, community relations, energy conservation and recycling programs.     Cape Cod Magazine showcases a beautiful, contemporary, upside-down house in Truro, where panoramic views of the ocean, Pamet Valley and Provincetown can be seen. Of the kitchen, designed by our team at Classic Kitchens & Interiors, Laurel Kornhiser writes, “Though it is less common now to find beach glass than it once was on the Cape, the kitchen pays homage to its beauty with its frosted blue glass subway tile backsplash. The mica black granite countertops flash with flecks of ocean blues, and all is set in relief against the white cabinets whose glass faces multiply the light.”

  • A Historic Kitchen Renovation 10.05.2015

    This Italianate house on Cape Cod, originally built in 1864, gets a new lease on life. In Old House Journal, writer Regina Cole captures the historic beauty restored by Polhemus Savery DaSilva Architects Builders (PSD). Our team at Classic Kitchens & Interiors worked with PSD on the kitchen. When the homeowner purchased the home, the kitchen was utilitarian, with its design focused on serving breakfast to inn guests. The kitchen was redesigned to fit the needs of the family. Beadboard cabinetry and stone countertops were used to refresh the kitchen, while also keeping in character with the rest of the home.
